Can you believe it? The building project in the Sanctuary is completed, the restrooms are a place we are proud to share, and our Preschool building is a joy to children and families.  But that's not the end: the real work lies ahead, the work of opening our doors and "Welcoming the World," in our community and around the world with the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

To that end, we embark on a second capital campaign.

Our goal is: to engage every person in the APC community to invest sacrificially in reaching out to the greater community and building the next generation of leaders here and abroad through our vital presence, transformed lives and the resurgence of our campus as the spiritual center of our community.

In our first campaign three years ago, APC families gave $1.6 million dollars beyond their regular giving for "Building to Share, Sharing to Build."  With that money we got to work and did significant things on this campus.  This time the funds will also be used to finish our building projects in the Education Building and Fellowship Hall and to expand God's kingdom through significant projects with our mission partners around the world.

As we enter our second campaign we are $2.8 million dollars from finishing out Phase 1 and completing this phase.  This is a daunting challenge and a blessed opportunity to see God work.  It will take prayer and sacrifice and commitment.  Even as we have been building, God has been bringing us new families and new leaders to raise, even as our youth department continues to expand and touch students' lives. Each of them encourages us to embolden our hearts and join in the high calling we have in Jesus Christ.

My friends, "Welcoming the World" requires all of us!  Our goal is 100% Spirit-inspired participation by every family who calls this church community their home and that it will mark each of our lives in significant ways.  Will you consider joining the team of dedicated people who will make this campaign a milestone in the history of this great church?  We need willing partners who will roll up their sleeves, use their creativity and the passion God has placed in their hearts.

Can we count on you?
